Terms of Service
Last updated June 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Dibs (“Dibs,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of our website and services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. What Dibs is, and is not
Dibs helps you discover class-action, settlement, and data-breach claims you may qualify for and prepares claim information for you. Dibs is not a law firm or a lawyer referral service, does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice, and using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are an informational tool that helps you act on settlements administered by independent third parties.
3. You file your own claims
Dibs never files claims on your behalf and never auto-submits anything. You review every claim, confirm the information is true, and submit it yourself on the official settlement administrator's site. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of everything you submit, including any sworn eligibility attestation, which may be made under penalty of perjury. Do not submit a claim for a class you do not belong to.
4. No guarantee of outcome
Eligibility, deadlines, and payout amounts are set by settlement administrators and courts, not by Dibs. Information on the Service may be incomplete, change, or contain errors. We do not guarantee that any settlement is open, that your claim will be accepted, or that you will receive any particular amount or any amount at all. Always verify on the official administrator's site before relying on anything here.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- submit false, fraudulent, or misleading claims, or claims for a class you are not part of;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your eligibility;
- scrape, copy, or resell the Service or its data, or interfere with its operation;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts used for fraudulent or abusive activity.
6. Fees and subscriptions
The core Service is free, and Dibs never takes a cut of any settlement you recover. An optional Pro subscription may add convenience features; its price is shown before you subscribe, it renews until canceled, and you can cancel anytime. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. We may charge participating law firms or partners referral fees, but only for users who opt in to be connected.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and brand, is owned by Dibs and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
8. Third-party sites and content
The Service links to third-party administrators and websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information is complete or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dibs and its owners, operators, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for missed deadlines, rejected claims, lost payouts, or amounts not recovered. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dibs and its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
12. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Please contact us first; most issues can be resolved informally. To the extent permitted by law, you and Dibs agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and that you and Dibs waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section, the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date, and continued use means you accept them. We may suspend or end your access at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
